Top Ten Reasons Not To Buy A Samsung Galaxy S6

"How could one say something as beautiful as this gem has problems?" "Well, I reckon we need to see what others are experiencing as see if any on these issues are worth the price of admission to this exciting new phone.

And it is easy to overlook any issue after studying the beauty of this device, however, there are some issues to overcome depending upon how you use your device.

"So, trying to decide on the drop dead gorgeous Samsung S6 Curve?".  "Or would it be better to play it  safer with the Samsung S5?"

Here are some advantages and disadvantages between the two and maybe we can help you with a decision and a place to buy.

Samsung S6

1. Battery life- Can't change the battery/ battery smaller but supposedly has more power but results have some disappointed. (buy a battery backup or "battery in case" for extra power).  (s6 has a 2550-2600 mah batt and the s5 has a 2800)

2. Memory, If you want more memory buy it at purchase. No upgrade available. (you can have it, it just costs more money at purchase) A full memory phone can run you $1K

3. No micro SD slot, if you are predisposed to opening your phone and replacing you micro sd card forget it. The solution is too burdensome from sources. USB OGT adaptor will be needed

4. Camera flash has been known to stay on. Check with Samsung support for answers.

5. Not Water resistant, gone are the little rubber plugs

6. Larded up with Samsungware much of it cannot be deleted

7. Both sides of the 6s curve are glass, this may not be an issue for many but know you have twice the possibility of cracking the case. Yes, Gorilla Glass, nevertheless

8. Camera Lens protrudes, this may not be a problem for most

9. Auto-rotate reluctant, at times the auto-rotate has some bugs

10. Pricey$$$ The 6s and the 6s curve are both stunningly beautiful but is it worth it? You decide.

For the gentry types who rarely see rain or the outside of their Coach purse the 6s is still an impressive choice. An office environment suite the Samsung s6 to a T.

For those of us who regularly get their trucks dirty and really need a shower at the end of the day a Samsung s5 would probably be a better choice. This is where water, dirt and dust will not be much of a problem for  long term use in construction and other trades.

Here is an example of the pricing as indicated and the S6 gets more expensive with the added memory. An additional amount of about $200 will get you the most memory available.

The Samsung S5 has some advantages over the S6. Longer battery life and you can swap it out, micro SD slot to retrieve information in memory or to expand it. Waterproofing not seen on the S6 and any bugs with its progression have been worked out. Last of course is the cost. At about half the price of a new S6 you can get the 5 and have fewer worries.
